Psychic Awakening- Reviewing Anna Sayce’s Course

Posted in Reviews, Spotlight on Intuitive Friends | 14 comments

Psychic But Sane” – that’s an attention-grabbing website name, isn’t it? I’m sure there are lots of people out there who wonder if psychics are sane. After all, when someone just “knows something” but can’t always tell you specifically how they know that thing, it’s normal to wonder what’s going on.

Regular readers of Practically Intuitive know that sanity is not in short supply here (it’s not, right?) and that’s also the case over at Anna Conlan’s site “Psychic But Sane”. What you’ll find there is a wealth of information, ideas and suggestions on how to develop your psychic ability. Anna believes, as I do, that we all have this skill. It’s just a matter of tuning in and listening.

I mention this as an introduction to my review of Anna’s course called “Psychic Awakening”. Anna and I share a few teachers so I wasn’t at all surprised to find her work resonates strongly with mine. And knowing that we share similar philosophies, I thought it might be fun to give my readers a look into her course.

As a natural researcher and a life-long student, I have an unquenchable thirst for knowing all about things that pique my interest. So when I say I’ve read a lot of material on learning how to work with your intuitive and psychic skills, Guides in Spirit and higher self, you know I’ve done my homework.

The Verdict

Psychic Awakening”, a course that aspires to teach you how to wake up your psychic abilities is a gem.

Truly, it is.

And here’s why:

Anna has the rare ability to teach on several different levels so no matter what your skill set or training, your time is well spent.

Have you ever been in a class where the teacher presents the material on just one level and either it’s way over your head or you are bored to tears? It’s a very unusual talent to be able to write and teach in a way so that all who listen feel that they learned something. That’s how I felt with this course. I wasn’t bored with it even though it’s information I’ve read in many other places. That’s when you know you’ve run into a great teacher.

This is a course that grows with you – wherever it is you are starting from. I learned some really cool exercises to strengthen my skills and practiced them with exceptional results. The entire course is very readable, well-structured and organized which assists in building confidence in the new found skills.

The Details

The course consists of a well-organized PDF document, broken down into three distinct sections:

** First: laying the groundwork for connecting with your higher self and spirit guides.

** Next: techniques to communicate with your spirit guides and higher self

** Finally: practicing these techniques to gain confidence

In addition to the written materials, Anna provides 13 MP3 tracks that reflect the written material adding things here and there such as meditations. (BTW, she has the most lovely accent and it’s easy to float along listening to her voice and the high vibration.) Each chapter consists of information, often a bit of Anna’s personal experience with it and exercises for you to integrate what you’ve just learned. While there’s a lot of information, it’s not overwhelming. I read a chapter at a time and let it digest a bit before moving to the exercises. There’s a nice, peaceful flow to the material.

Who would benefit from this course

While I’d like to say that just about anyone would benefit from Anna’s course, I am reminded of my husband who would consider it torture to learn about this. (He’s happy in his fantasy football league world.) So, I’d narrow down the list to those who are just learning about psychic abilities and wondering what theirs might be as well as those who have a sincere desire to take their present skills to another level. As I said earlier, it’s a course that grows with you. Here I am, with over ten years in the intuitive skills arena and a practitioner myself and I learned some new techniques from it.

If you’re at all intrigued by this course, pop on over to Psychic But Sane and read more about it. She’s put a lot of work into this and it shows. (And really, it’s amazingly priced so just about anyone can afford it. It’s an immediate download of PDF and MP3s so you can get to work right away.)

Anna’s tagline for the course is: “The Most Complete Course You’ll Find on the Internet for Developing Your Psychic Abilities” and I agree 100%.

I am going to keep this in mind Lisa…I am about to start the Hess – power course next….I am in the midst of putting the garden to bed for winter and harvesting chickens….I seem to just almost disappear for a couple weeks in the Fall, when I would rather be studying something – I have noted this post to refer back too..

Patricia, as you can tell, I'm all about the learning!  :-)  Once you've manifest some big bucks through MMM, circle back around to Anna's course.  I think, knowing you through your blog as I do, there's much for you to gain there. You'd definitely like it if you're drawn to stepping things up a notch, psychically speaking!

    Hi Lisa!

I've noticed that we share some common teachers – Andrea Hess and Rose Rosetree. Anna Conlan is also my teacher, and I can really recommend her course. :)

    • Lisa

Okay, we need to start a "I've studied with Rose, Anna and Andrea" club!  We are a small and select group, it seems.  How cool is that, though?  Think we are all walking a similar path?

Thanks for your comment and the visit.  Perhaps I'll see you again 'round these parts

      • Peter

Yay! I like that club. :D I think Rose and Andrea have some really new and fascinating concepts you don't find elsewhere. And Anna made a synthesis of these concepts and has lots of talent teaching in a straightforward manner, a very sane approach, which I like. :)

Very cool, I've always been interested in psychic phenomena. I recently saw a great documentary called "Something Unknown Is Doing We Don't Know What" – ever heard of it? You can stream the whole thing on YouTube.

    • Lisa

Steven, thanks for visiting and your comment.  I'm hoofing over to the YouTubes right now to check out your suggestion!

I think the whole concept of psychic phenomena is fascinating – not only because I can do it and find it's pretty darn cool but as an idea in general and how it shows up in someone's life.

Hope to have you visit again!

      • Steven Handel

Cool Lisa. Tell me how accurate the documentary is when you finally check it out. They separate psychic ability into 6 categories. Which ones can you do?

Also, where do you think the information comes from? Does it come from a source outside of you, or is it something you can read off of the other person?

Lastly (sorry for all the questions) – do you write any articles on creativity?

        • Lisa

          Hey Steven,

I watched the trailer for the documentary and it looks fascinating.  I'm going to watch the whole thing later on this week.  Looking real quick at the different kinds of psychic abilities, I'd say I am leaning toward telepathy.Periodically animals talk to me (mind-to-mind) and I often just know what someone is thinking so that'd be my guess.  I'm not quite adept at bending spoons (yet!)

My sense is that the information comes in through a channel – it's out there in the consciousness and like tuning in a radio station, you just align with that frequency and receive the transmission.  That's how it comes to me, at any rate.

I haven't yet written anything on creativity but I think your question is a nudge from my Guides that perhaps I should do that.  Look for something in the near future.

I'm glad to see you again.  Do you want to be Chairman of our little "Andrea, Rose, Anna" club (the ARA, as it were)?  My friend Kara is 2/3rds of the way to admission.  I need to hook her up with Rose.  :)

          • Steven H

The radio frequency analogy is a really good one! I sometimes feel like there is mind-to-mind communication going on when I am with my three dogs. It's almost like non-verbal cues, and a sense of each other's emotions. Is that similar to how it works for you? Or is there more of a "language" involved? If so, do you sense it in English, or is it something that can't be expressed in words?

What would I be doing as Chairman of the club? E-mail me if you want to get more specific with the details.

            Thanks for responding back again,
            Steven

Thanks for the review. I've had some premonitions, out of body travel experiences, and definitely would love to try this course; however, I have taken other courses, and a lot of them put time in meditation, and I've tried simple techniques, but I either fall asleep, or get itchy, so I wonder how much meditation is involved in the course because would hate to buy it, only to find out there is lots of meditation exercises in it.

    • Lisa

      Hi Oscar,

I'm not one who adores meditation either so I hear you!

In my opinion, Anna's course relied much more on information and practical application and not much at all on the meditative experiences. In fact, I'd say that you don't have to listen to those to get some really good, juicy things out of the course. (Don't kill me, Anna!)

She does have a lovely voice, as I mentioned, so I rather liked listening to her no matter what she was saying. :)

Oscar, to answer you directly – no. The meditation sections of the course were adjuncts rather than centerpieces to getting the information and experiences.

(Shoves you off that ledge – go! Check it out. Totally worth the investment. You can thank me (oh, and Anna too!) later!)

Because I have a hearing problem do you absolutely need the MP3s to follow along with the course?  I'd like to try it out but only will be able to read the PDF.

That’s so interesting, thanks for sharing and directing me to that program! I’ll definitely consider taking it some day soon!

    Tweeted it as well :)
